Oh man, let me tell you about the Kilkenny Shop Café. It’s tucked away in Shanagarry South, Co. Cork, and I can’t help but rave about my experience there.
Walk in, and you’ve got this cozy vibe that just screams “stay a while.” Seriously, it’s a perfect spot for grabbing a coffee after wandering around. I mean, who doesn’t love the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting around?
I saw that they’ve recently switched to this order-at-the-register thing. Smart move, but maybe they should have menus plastered everywhere to keep the lines moving. While I was there, I noticed their fish and chips dazzling on the menu. And oh wow, if you haven’t tried the prawn and cauliflower Balti, you’re missing out! Plus, did I mention the desserts? That rhubarb crumble, paired with cream and ice cream? Chef’s kiss.
Staff-wise, they shine bright. Sinéad, who took care of me, was an absolute gem—efficient and friendly. Makes a world of difference, right?
Open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., they’ve got the perfect brunch and lunch spread. And for all you parking warriors, there’s free parking too!
